DENS Foodbank

13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Trussell Trust foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.

Every year foodbanks feed hundreds of thousands of people nationwide. Many of these are children. Rising costs of food and fuel combined with static income, high unemployment and changes to benefits are causing more and more people to come to foodbanks for help.

At NBC we support these foodbanks by collecting food that they need and then taking that food to the local foodbank depot for them to distribute how they see fit.

If you'd like to contribute then please bring any suitable items to church and there's a box right at the front of church for you to place the items in.
